School choice · Darjeeling
Searching for the best school in Darjeeling often means weighing a school close to home against a residential education elsewhere. Mayoor School Siliguri is an option to explore if your family is considering boarding in Siliguri. It is not a school located in Darjeeling: the choice should depend on your child’s curriculum, readiness to live away from home and the support they need.
The best choice is the school that suits your child. Compare curriculum, wellbeing, fees and practical arrangements using verified information, not a ranking alone. Explore the Siliguri campus below and bring your family’s questions to our admission team.
A parent’s decision
When comparing Darjeeling schools with a Siliguri CBSE option, check the board, subjects available for your child’s class and how a transfer would affect their learning. Mayoor combines CBSE academics with STEAM, AI and robotics, arts and sports. Ask how teachers would support a student joining from a different school or curriculum.
A residential choice changes more than the school timetable. Discuss supervised study, meals, health support, contact with family and settling-in care. Visit the boarding accommodation with your child where possible. Mayoor describes separate residences for boys and girls; current class eligibility and places must be confirmed.
Before choosing boarding in Siliguri, consider how you will manage campus visits, school holidays and collection arrangements from Darjeeling. Confirm the school calendar and parent-visit procedures directly. Do not assume a school bus serves Darjeeling or that any particular travel time or transfer service is available.
